According to eMarketer estimates, at the end of 2019, Pinterest generated 82.4 million users in the United States and Snapchat 80.2 million. In the past few years, Pinterest has exceeded the number of Snapchat users.
In 2019, Pinterest audience growth exceeded analyst expectations. According to the results of the year, the growth amounted to 9.1% against 4.3%, which were mentioned in the previous forecast.
It is expected that in 2020 the number of service users will increase to 86 million, while Snapchat – only to 83.1 million. Until the end of the forecast period, the gap between the platforms will continue to widen.
According to analysts, Pinterest’s main driver of growth is its attractiveness for different age groups, while Snapchat is aimed primarily at a younger audience.
In 2020, Pinterest will account for 41.1% of all users of social networks in the United States, and over the next three years this figure will continue to grow.
