Microsoft convinces users that their old computer may not be suitable for Windows 7. For Windows 10, it is easier to buy a new machine.
Support for the Windows 7 operating system ends on January 14, and Microsoft published an article about it. In it, she advise current users to buy a new computer, the official website writes.
Although many computers running Windows 7 can be upgraded to Windows 10, the company does not recommend this. Buying a new computer will allow you to get a device that is faster, lighter, more powerful and safe, as well as with a significantly lower average price. Also, updating the operating system is not recommended due to the fact that software components and drivers may not work correctly on an old computer.
Microsoft notes that the end of support does not mean the termination of the operating system. Users will be able to continue to use Windows 7 after January 14, but will not receive vulnerability patches.
According to Netmarketshare, there are about 400 million Windows 7 users in the world today.
