Elon Musk Lobs an Insult at Bill Gates
Gates got some serious attention for his opinions last week.
The Twitter feud between Elon Musk and Bill Gates is still going strong after the former questions the latter’s technical expertise when it comes to artificial intelligence.
Gates made the news last week after posting a blog declaring that “the age of AI has begun.” By the time your eyes unrolled after reading that headline, Gates’ opinions on GhatGPT and AI was big news across social media.
And Elon Musk is not about to let Bill Gates get more attention than him on social media of all places.
"I’d been meeting with the team from OpenAI since 2016…"

It's big when someone like Gates is so bullish on AI.
Also notable that MSFT has been tracking this so closely for so long.

Musk was an early investor in ChatGPT parent company OpenAI and is credited as a co-founder. He left the company’s board in 2018, citing a conflict of interest with his work at Tesla.
But there are recent reports that Musk attempted to directly oversee the company’s operations in 2018, but was rejected by fellow co-founders including current CEO Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, who is now president of the company.
Semafor reported that Musk welched on his promise to supply the company with $1 billion in funding after he walked away, leaving the company instead with only a $100 million contribution.
TheStreet’s request for comment from Twitter received an automated poop emoji response.
Meanwhile, Gates compared artificial intelligence to the revolutions of the mobile phone and the internet.
“It will change the way people work, learn, travel, get health care, and communicate with each other. Entire industries will reorient around it,” Gates opined.
